Hazrat Khawja Shams-ud-Din Sialvi

Hazrat Khawja Shams-ud-Din Sialvi was born in 1799 A.D.(1214 A.H). He was born of a very religious family. He descended from Hazrat Ali,the fourth caliph of Islam.
Long before his birth,a great saint of Multan ,Ghaus Baha -ul-Haq Zakarya Multani,while travelling to Bhera,got down from horse back when he was right at the place where now the great tomb of Hazrat Khwaja Shams-ud-din Sialvi is situated and picked handful of soil and kissed it. His deciples wre astonished by this gesture.Upon there insistence, he revealed to them, that a Ghaus would be born there.
He had become the hafiz of Quran(one who remembers Quran by heart) at the age of 7 years.He went to some of the renounced institutions to get religious education. He went as far as Kabul where he was awarded Sand-e-Hadith(certification of hadith). The most important of his journeys was to Taunsa Sharif (Distt. D.G Khan), where he becme a deciple of Hazrat Khawja Suleiman Taunsvi.
He went to Mecca twice to perform pilgrimage.He was a stanch follower of Quran and Sunnah. His teachings played an important role in reviving the spirit of Islam in Muslims in the wake of Missionary propaganda by christians and oppression by Sikhs.
He established an institute for religious education. He himself used to teach there. Some of his students went to become known Islamic scholars in the subcontinent.

Hazrat Khawja Shams-ud-din Sialvi died on 24th of Safar 1300 A.H( 4th of january 1883 A.D). He was buried in Sialsharif about 48 kilometers from Sargodha on Sargodha-Jhang road.
Hazrat Khawja Qamar-ud-din Sialvi
He was born on 24th Jumadi-ul-Awwal 1324 A.H in (7th July 1906) in Sialsharif (Distt.Sargodha) He was the eldest son of Hazrat Zia-ud-din Sialvi. He had learnt Quran when he was just 9. He went to a number of institutions to get religious education.The most important of these institution were situated in Mecc and Ajmer.
After completing his education he continued the mission of his forefathers of reviving the spirit of islam He tenaciously opposed British Raj and worked hard for establishment of a muslim state fot the muslims.The british did not like his working against the Raj. They offered him the title of "His Holiness"(the biggest spiritual and religious title in British Raj) for giving up his opposition which he turned down,and burnt the letter to ashes. As a penalty for his defiance his land was confiscated,he was stopped from making speech,and was thrown into jail. But he continued his opposition.
He became the president of Sargodha Muslim League.He went to all corners of subcontinent to vote fot Muslim Leafgue in te election of 1946. He particularly walked along with Pir of Zakori in NWFPto vote for Pakistan in the referandum of 1947. After the inception of pakistan,he wrote to Quaid-e-Azam to congratulate him and emphasize the need for promulgation of islamic laws. Replying his letter Quaid-e-Azam wrote "Efforts on part of Mashaikhs in thePakistan Movement are highly commendable. Rest assured Islamic laws will be promulgated in Pakistan"
In the Indo-Pak war of 1965 he donated all the ornaments of his family to Pakistan Army. In 1970 he became the president of Jamiat Ulema-i-Pakistan.Under his leadership the party fared very good in the election of 1970. He was nominated member of Islamic Idealogy Council,twice.Where he worked hard to Islamicize the current laws.
He died from a road accident on July 20th 1981(17th Ramadan).He was awrded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz(Medal of Distinction) by president of Pakistan in 1981.
